Dave Grebenc, COO of Innovatia, assumed the position of Chair of the Board of the NBITC at the recent AGM in Dieppe. Joining Dave on the Executive are Roman Coba, CIO of McCain, who was elected as Vice-Chair, CEO Larry Sampson, Derrick Smith, CIO of Assomption Vie, who will assume the role of Secretary, and out-going Chair Geoff Flood, CEO of T4G.
As part of his remarks, Geoff extended his thanks to Past-Chairs Ian Cavanagh of Ambir, and Scott McIntosh of SwiftRadius, and out-going Board members Peter Price of CGI, and Dr. Ali Ghorbani of the Faculty of Computer Science at UNB, and welcomed Chris Boudreau, CEO of ClinicServer, who was elected to represent the membership.
In his first act as incoming Chair, Dave Grebenc outlined the focus for the Council in 2012, which will be to lay the ground work for a significant increase in ICT exports by growing the pool of ideas with market potential in the Province, bringing more innovations to market, doing a better job of exploiting these innovations in the traditional economy, and improving our ability to sell them to the rest of the world.
